Oh, and just so we're all on the same page: Everything here represents my opinions only (except the comments), and does not reflect that of my employer (Microsoft) in any way shape or form. Got it? Good!
stroupnp asked: Hi Chris,
My name is Nick and I am a long time fan of Game Players and your reviews. What spurned me to look you up randomly remembering your hilarious and scathing review of Cosmic Race. I'm sure you get people complimenting you on that all the time, but I want to tell you that reading Game Players is a really great memory from my childhood and in particular, your review of Cosmic Race sticks out. Enough of the ass-kissing... I have done some exhaustive searching for back issues of Game Players but only single issues are available on eBay (sometimes at ridiculous prices!). Anyway, seeing as how it was (presumably?) an important part of your life, I thought that you probably had all your issues. I realize that asking you to part with such important objects would be out of the question, but I wonder if you would be willing to create PDFs of said issues and make them available for everyone to enjoy... Thanks for the time, and all the memories.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the letter! I actually took home what I believe was the only complete set of Game Players magazines when Imagine Media was going to throw them out! And I still have them. (Most of them, anyway!) I would be happy to make PDFs to release online (I suspect I could get permission from Future who owns the copyrights). BUT, the real issue is scanning and what a pain it is.
With my $15 Walgreens scanner, it ain’t gonna happen. I’m looking into a few scanner options, because I have some old zines that are all musty that I want to archive and then trash, but nothing is firmed up yet. I will post here when it happens, though!
