Oh, and just so we're all on the same page: Everything here represents my opinions only (except the comments), and does not reflect that of my employer (Microsoft) in any way shape or form. Got it? Good!
So I had this dream, and the dream was to do Canabalt fan fiction. I love making back-stories for games. I did it in my head playing arcade games as a kid, and the less story the game has, and the more I can do in my head, the more I like it. I even made a backstory for KLAX when Mike Mika and Bob Baffy and I did a version for GameBoy Color (you can find a code here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/gbc/575337-klax/cheats)
So anyway, I wanted to do some Canabalt fan fiction. And I was talking about it and someone was like “too late dude, someone already did and it’s awesome” and I was like “…” and then they sent me this URL.
Yeah, this is tons better than what I would have done. The second person voice and flashback narrative reminds me A TON of the intro to A Mind Forever Voyaging, which just makes me happy and nostalgic. As far as I’m concerned, this is Canabalt Canon now.

This renders my entire contribution to Canabalt lore this joke screen shot of Canabalt 2:
